One Last Coat

We are inches…hours…twenty last brush strokes…one last push away from completing our master bedroom.

And by that I mean we have the walls and ceilings painted, trim hung and painted, closet installed and painted…

Still missing the closet door, hanging bed, curtains, makeup desk, etc etc etc.

Those are details…the rest is sweet glorious PROGRESS.

We started this master bedroom project on January 1st to start off the New Year with a bang. How romantic the day after you get engaged to be ripping out old horsehair plaster;) It evolved into demoing the office and part of the hallway…redesigning closets…adding a hall linen closet…rewiring the entire upstairs…replacing windows and removing midget windows…and giving this place a face lift. And here we are on the verge of April (according to the calendar, certainly not the weather) and we can almost check off one more room of the house.

We are behind our self-proclaimed schedule, on par with budget and still speaking. I'd say that's an accomplishment in itself.

A BIG THANK YOU to my amazing godmother who got our chairs recovered as a wedding gift. These wing chairs were her parents and she gave them to us when we moved into our house.
