I am the queen of unrealistic.
I have it in my head that I can accomplish 10x the amount of work anyone on this planet could do in one day, one week, one month. I think that I can live off of little sleep and high adrenaline. I am a hustler. A dreamer. A type A, high strung stress case. A believer that I can have it all. Incapable of saying "NO". A go-getter who dreams big and over commits on the regular.
God bless my husband. He is undoutedly a saint.
This bathroom project of ours is no different from anything else in my life. In my mind it should take a week. In reality it has taken 3 months and we will be lucky if it is 100% complete in 2 months. Never mind you that I have been working 70-80 hour weeks to make a living…somewhere in my brain I still think that we should have accomplished this task sooner.
Bottom line: Andrew and I are lacking in vision for this bathroom renovation. We are down to tile choices and have hit a wall.
I am run down. My head is spinning from the summer. I get up at 5am and go to bed at 11pm. I barely have time to shave my legs, let alone clean and dust my filthy house. Tile options might put me over the edge.
So for now friends, this bathroom needs your help. I need opinions, choices, and thoughts on what we should do. You know our style…Nantucket meets antique meets crisp, cool summer meets all things nautical and monogramed.
What should the floor tile be? Octagonal, "wood", slate, marble?
Should we stick with white subway tile for the shower? Border or no border?
We are considering light blue walls - have any favorite Sherwin Williams colors?
You all might just make this October deadline possible!
